Julie-Anne was invited to be a guest speaker at the premiere of The Heal documentary in Geelong, Victoria and delivered an inspirational speech about her journey from illness to wellness. (You can find her inspirational story below.)
Julie-Anne has studied all the courses through to the masters and applied all the powerful tools and techniques not just in changing her own life but empowering others to be the change, that they were seeking.
She runs a successful practice in assisting women, children in care, and children with anxieties, running wellness programs, facilitating workshops, and working with the elderly her oldest client was 97 years old. Julie-Anne was her life coach assisting her client in reaching some lifelong goals of loving herself wholly before she left this world.
Julie-Anne strives at empowering others to awaken the healer within, so they too will be equipped with the knowledge to heal. Julie-Anne has an amazing gift of seeing people’s true potential and unveiling the layers which are holding them back from stepping into their path of greatness.

She thrives at empowering others in reaching their successes and this is reflected in all the students which have graduated from her college, now running their successful holistic businesses. From women circles, sound healing, holistic counselling, life coaching, workshops, meditation classes, meditation and creative arts programs, chair yoga classes and creative holistic arts facilitators.
The number one highlight of being a teacher in Julie-Anne’s eyes is being the observer, watching students get inspired, empowered, blossom and reconnect back to themselves to rediscover their passion for living. It fills Julie-Anne’s heart with so much gratitude.

How 15 seconds can change your life.
Julie-Anne's life fell apart after an accident that left her with 35% impairment. Her life changed that day and stripped her of everything except her fighting spirit. Julie-Anne was in the darkest place she had ever been in her life and was on the medical roller coaster ride, medical complications and medication complications. Living in debilitating chronic pain, neuropathic pain from head to toe, back injury and a prominent limp.
Fibromyalgia and PTSD set in and her heart condition which was dormant for 25 years reappeared, causing more strain on her health. Julie-Anne endured four heart procedures in a year with complications, which lead to her losing the radial artery in her right wrist. The accident and two close calls to death took their toll on her physical and mental health.
Julie-Anne’s thought patterns were negative, helplessness, hopelessness set in, victim thinking and most of all she was ready to give up. Her state of mind was affected, which led her to how she viewed her trauma, pain and recovery and that was sheer hopelessness. She was living in an extremely heightened state of fight or flight response.
After her second major complication with yet another close call, Julie-Anne went on the search and began studying healing the whole body.
" You can heal your life" book by Louise Hay fell at her feet at an op shop. This book was about to change her life forever. Living on a bag of medications and being told she will never do that, or this, empowered her with an incredible surge of courage to say, this is not how the story will end. Julie-Anne believed in her body and had a deep knowing she could heal her life. She believed to heal she had to go on the Holistic health path and be proactive in her recovery, healing and advocating for her life.
She employed her medical team that would support her with a holistic approach to healing the whole body not just the wounds or trauma at present. She took back the power and wrote her prescription to HEAL. Her Wellness prescription included western and alternative medicine.
Her healing prescription included Energy healing, Reflexology, Kinesiology, Myotherapy Dry Needling, Meditation, Yoga, Mindfulness, Mindful Movement, Pacing Up Method, Gratefulness, journaling, Art, Nature, Grounding, Affirmations, Beliefs, Stress Management, Pain Management, Clean eating and Supplements.
A person cannot heal wholly without doing eternal work. A person will not heal in a fight or flight response.
Julie-Anne became the CEO of her own body. The fight for her life was just about to begin. She had to learn how to walk correctly again as her left leg dragged and she needed assistance with her speech as she had developed a stutter due to all the trauma. Julie-Anne began stripping her whole life apart, one layer at a time, to heal the trauma which was stored in her body.
She spring-cleaned her whole life and removed, released everything that was not aligned with joy.
A person cannot heal where they got sick. Just like a lotus, Julie-Anne had to get through the murky muddy waters to rise and bloom. Seeking a Healer in Bali enduring numerous sessions every year realigning her pelvis, left leg and left hip to correct her walking without a limp.
The sessions were excruciating and many times she nearly threw up due to the pain. Healing isn’t pretty, it is damn right soul-stripping ugly. You have to feel it to HEAL it. Julie-Anne has overcome so many hurdles, obstacles and setbacks but her sheer resilience, courage and determination have turned the most traumatic debilitating time in a person's life into a positive one.
Her journey validates that miracles do happen.

Chantelle has been studying the Mind-Body Connection since 2019, completing courses of Meditation Teacher Training In Jodhpur, India and later furthering her studies in Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy. Chantelle has been trained by Mind Body Education and has worked as a HICAT Assessor, and Student support for many years, now supporting multiple colleges.
Her favourite part of assessing is seeing people become empowered throughout the course and awakening their purpose in life. HICAT builds communities that have opened up opportunities for her to co-create with other HICAT Practitioners and Colleges due to the strong supportive relationships it forms throughout.
In her spare time, Chantelle likes to read, camp, garden, create, spend time with her family and learn as much as possible about healing through the mind-body connection.
She believes she is truly lucky to have her passion, hobbies, healing and work all aligned in living her purpose.

Once upon a time there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing.
He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work. One day he was walking along the shore.
As he looked down the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer.
He smiled to himself to think of someone who would dance to the day.
So he began to walk faster to catch up.
As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man and the young man wasn't dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean.
As he got closer he called out, "Good morning! What are you doing?"
The young man paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing starfish in the ocean." "I guess I should have asked, why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?" "The sun is up and the tide is going out. And if I don't throw them in they'll die."
"But, young man, don't you realize that there are miles and miles of beach and starfish all along it. You can't possibly make a difference!"
The young man listened politely.
Then bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the ocean, past the breaking waves and said -
"It made a difference for that one."
3 REASONS TO MEDITATE
It's More Than Just a Stress Reducer.
The reasons we meditate are as varied as the many ways there are to meditate. In the West, most people are drawn to meditation to quiet the internal chatter of the brain and to reduce stress.
Meditation is, indeed, a very effective stress reducer, but its benefits – sometimes mysteriously hidden – are far more bountiful.
1. Because It’s Good for Our Bodies
Scientists gathering data on meditation have found that a consistent practice not only boosts the mind, but it also bolsters the body.
Studies bear out that meditation can help reverse heart disease, reduce pain, and support the immune system, better enabling it to fight disease.
The mind-body connection between stress and disease is abundantly apparent as science is finding that meditation can lower production of the stress hormone cortisol.
This means meditators are better able to adapt to stress in their lives and its common physiologic responses, which can include:
2. Because It’s Good for Our Relationships
Paradoxically, while meditation helps us tune in and turn inward to our true essence, it also helps us detach from our own egos to connect with others in more meaningful ways.
Couples counselors have found when they assign their clients meditation, the couples become less angry, more self-reflective, and more loving.
When we become aware of – and honor – our interconnection with other beings, we are able to recast our perspectives, see our worries in a different light, and embrace gratitude, which is the heart’s memory.
3. Because It Can Change Our Lives
In a world rife with never-ending fast fixes, crash diets, and get-rich-quick schemes, it’s nice to know there is a proven practice that really can change your life (or at least bring about dramatic effects) in just a little time each day.
Yogis and doctors both agree: meditating – even just a few minutes of deep breathing – relaxes the brain, reduces anxiety, and decreases depression.
When we feel as though we can't afford the time to meditate, the truth is we can't afford not to.
